Pre-Purchase Inspections

A pre-purchase inspection is a documented visual and basic operational check of a vehicle you are considering. It covers leaks, tires, brakes, lights, and obvious collision or rust issues that can be seen without disassembly. It is a snapshot of condition, not a warranty or title search.

Why this service exists

  • A second set of eyes before money changes hands
  • Can be done at a seller’s location when they allow it
  • Written notes you can use before you buy
  • Condition snapshot without a shop lift unless arranged

Process

How this service runs

  1. 1

    Confirm access with the seller

The inspection happens only if the vehicle can be seen and, when agreed, driven a short distance.

  2. 2

    Walk the vehicle

Body, fluids, tires, lights, and obvious mechanical issues.

  3. 3

    Note what cannot be seen

A PPI does not include a lift inspection unless that is separately arranged.

  4. 4

    Deliver the notes

You receive written observations of what we could see and test.
